This is a popular freeride skiing route which is generally considered to be severe. It's not remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between December and March. From a low point of 2 km to the maximum altitude of 2.3 km, the route covers 1.1 km, 114 vertical metres of ascent and 311 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 4.2 and Labande grade 4. You'll need skins to complete it safely.

Description

A long couloir on the out of bounds side of Blackcomb Glacier. Skin up the East Col and then traverse behind the spearhead glacier to get to Husume.

WARNING: Watch out for the ice cave on the Blackcomb Glacier and make sure to avoid going over it.

Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
