This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's very remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between July and September. From a low point of 1.2 km to the maximum altitude of 2.5 km, the route covers 9.1 km, 1405 vertical metres of ascent and 1404 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 2.2 and Labande grade 4. You'll need skins, ice axe and crampons to complete it safely.

Description

It is accessed through the valley of the "Estero parada" to the New Zealand camp, ascending and descending through the couloir of the normal mountain route.
