This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between December and April. From a low point of 1.5 km to the maximum altitude of 2.9 km, the route covers 7.7 km, 1376 vertical metres of ascent and 59 vertical metres of descent. You'll need rope, skins, ice axe and crampons to complete it safely.

Montée classique jusqu'au lac Courbe par la combe des Salières, couloir Pinelli, puis arête jusqu'au petit Taillefer et sommet du Taillefer par l'épaule de droite et la crête.
