This is a popular hiking route which is generally considered to be moderate. It's very remote, it features medium exposure and is typically done between July and September. From a low point of 2.3 km to the maximum altitude of 3.6 km, the route covers 21 km, 1944 vertical metres of ascent and 1945 vertical metres of descent.

Description

The trek starts before 2kms before Aru Pahalgam after crossing the West Lidder River, the gradual steep trail along the Munwarsar Nalla takes you to the beautiful Munwarsar Lake. The altitude of the lake is 3580 meters above sea level.
