This is a popular trail running route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's remote, it features medium exposure and is typically done between September and May. From a low point of 757 m to the maximum altitude of 1.3 km, the route covers 12 km, 745 vertical metres of ascent and 762 vertical metres of descent.

Description

Skippers Canyon was home to gold miners in the 1860s. The scenery is spectacular with golden tussock, steep mountain walls and awesome rock formations. This is also a downhill mountain bike trail so watch out for bikes!
