This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's not remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between January and April. From a low point of 926 m to the maximum altitude of 1.8 km, the route covers 8.4 km, 923 vertical metres of ascent and 925 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 3.1 and Labande grade 4. You'll need skins to complete it safely.
Description
When snow conditions are good, this is a great direct route up the mountain as there's no need to do tons of switchbacks. The direct route down is exciting for many skiers with a feeling of exposure but little risk assuming avalanche conditions are low and few rocks are exposed.
