Piatra Craiului - Varful La Om

The Piatra Craiului mountains form a narrow and saw-like ridge, which is about 25 km (16 mi) long. The highest elevation in the massif is the "Vârful La Om" at 2,238 metres (7,343 ft). The ridge is regarded as one of the most beautiful sites in the Carpathians.

This is a popular hiking route which is generally considered to be severe. It's not remote, it features high exposure and is typically done between April and November. From a low point of 851 m to the maximum altitude of 2.2 km, the route covers 25 km, 1987 vertical metres of ascent and 1986 vertical metres of descent.

Description

Done in right conditions, this hiking trail can still be chalenging.

I did it in 2 days, with stop for sleeping and Curmatura Cabin.

I felt the beauty of this trail on a unusualy warm late autumn without any wind and with lots of SUN.
