Top col de bassachaux line 2 Map

A little 15 minutes walk from the top right of "Rochassons" chairlift to the peak of the "Col de Bassachaux" is required to access this line. The first part of the line is steep where good skills are needed; a cliff is present and needs to be negotiated. Avalanche risk is really high as the first part is steep and the face gets a lot of snow as it is located at the end of a valley. It faces north, helping to keep the snow fresh. Hazards to be aware of on this line are the cliff into the first section and the trees into the lower part during the narrow section. The line finishes on the red piste "Les Rochassons" which leads back to "Pierre longue" chairlift and "Pré-la-joux" area.
