A great hike to get off away from the crowds and explore some very remote areas of the Cairngorms.

Description

The route follows a well trod path for the majority of the circuit before reaching the Strath Nethy. Then it's bog bashing!

Can be done in two days with options to stay at the Fords of Avon Refuge and at the Hutchison Memorial Hut.

Hiking challenging trails where simple scrambling, with the occasional use of the hands, is a distinct possibility. The trails are often filled with all manner of obstacles both small and large, and the hills are very steep. Obstacles and challenges are often unexpected and can be unpredictable.
