Description

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MeikleBin

To bag Meikle Bin on skis requires a vast amount of praying to the snow gods as this is a rare occurrence for enough snow to fall at this altitude in Scotland. Park at the car park and make your way south following the forestry roads. The majority of the ski tour is done in the forest, but once out of the forest, great views of Glasgow below can be seen at the summit. Don't expect any gnarly Alaskan lines but a gentle decent from the summit back down to the forestry road provides a nice little run that can be looped for those with time on their hands. For those wanting abit more, do this ski tour after dark and you'll have fantastic views of Glasgow lit up at night!

Remember, always check the local avalanche bulletin: https://www.sais.gov.uk/

This ski tour and guide was completed during winter conditions and at night.
