Unimaginative names appear to be a theme when it comes to trails in national parks, and the Giant Logs Trail (through the more poetically-named Jasper Forest) only reinforces this unfortunate trend. Regardless, you know what you're in for when you hit the Giant Logs trail: big 'ole petrified logs.

Description
In fact, "some of the largest and oldest logs in the park are found on this trail," according to TrailheadTraveler.com. "'Old Faithful,' the highlight of the trail, for example is nearly ten feet wide in diameter," they continue.
The trail itself is an easy half-mile ramble on a flat, non-technical trail. Due to the very short length, this trail is accessible to just about everyone. Don't miss Jasper Forest on your visit to this national park!
