This is a popular freeride skiing route which is generally considered to be severe. It's extremely remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between January and March. From a low point of 2.6 km to the maximum altitude of 2.8 km, the route covers 1 km, 8 vertical metres of ascent and 221 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 5.2 and Labande grade 6. You'll need skins to complete it safely.

Description

Most consider this the hardest of the Corniced Chutes. While the cornice is not the largest here, this chute covers the steepest part of the bowl and has an extremely long and narrow straight-line that feels like it lasts forever. This one is truly for expert skiers only!

Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
