This is a popular freeride skiing route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's extremely remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done in January, March and April. From a low point of 2.3 km to the maximum altitude of 2.5 km, the route covers 802 m, 2 vertical metres of ascent and 146 vertical metres of descent.

Description

While quite short, Fire Ant has a very steep corniced entry and maintains a consistently steep pitch for a few 100 feet. It does mellow out quite quickly and you're brought to a very enjoyable run through the trees that leads back to the 9374 base area.
