This is the best way for beginners to access the more mellow terrain found in the Hawkins Base area. However, this trail still isn't the most beginner friendly trail as it has some mild uphill sections and in general is very narrow. This is still the best approach to get to other moutnain areas. The cat-track is also quite exposed.
