Sun Cut Map

Aspen glades and deep powder; Sun Cut is the locals' approach to Sundown Lift line lift coming from Storm Peak. This approach maximizes the fall line through a series of well spaced gladed areas to maximize fall line length. This line will take you through endless tree skiing, deep powder and open meadows overlooked from top to bottom fall line skiers. The approach must start from Storm Peak Lift on Highline. Once rounding the turn on Highline, when Sunshine lift appears, enter into the open glades continuing fall line and left. Continue fall line left to skier's right of the Sunshine lift line and continue down through endless Aspen lines. Be aware that hazards and rock exposure exists - study your lines well. Areas of tight, technical tree skiing are required. Continue from one glade to another and merge right onto the trail or continue down and skier's right to access more glades all the way to Moonlight.
