Description
Breckenridge allows uphill access in the mornings, from 6-8:30am on designated routes. This one begins from the Peak 7 base and goes to the top of T-bar lift on Peak 8. The route is Fort Mary B > Claimjumper > Pika > T-bar hut. This makes a stout morning workout, measuring at about 2200 feet from bottom to top and finishing on a black diamond trail. There’s no reason to take it all the way, of course, if you want a shorter uphill.
The start point is just outside the Peak 7 lodges, making this route most convenient for anyone staying there. If you are driving from elsewhere in town, it’s perhaps better to take the Peak 8 uphill instead, which takes a similar route but begins closer to the free parking at Stables garage. See the Breckenridge uphill policy for more information and about how to get a pass.
