This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be moderate. It's not remote, it features unknown exposure and is typically done between December and April. From a low point of 3.4 km to the maximum altitude of 3.6 km, the route covers 1 km, 3 vertical metres of ascent and 110 vertical metres of descent.

Description

East Side, as the name implies, is the wide open zone directly east from the top of the pass, below treeline. The angle is fairly low, but this is a great place to warm up if you are unsure of avalanche/snow conditions or want to get your legs under you.
