Launching Pad is named primarily because of one rock that sits just below the Aqueduct Trail. It is one shot in what is commonly referred to as just The 90's and has a fun, consistent pitch for roughly 500 feet. For much of the run there are trees on both sides, which shields it well from the wind, so snow can often accumulate well.
Description
As you traverse from Outlaw towards Launch Pad, you will pass beneath several cliff bands that are above the Aqueduct Trail, all over 20 feet. When the snow is right, these can provide a very entertaining place to jump across the Aqueduct Trail. Additionally, just above the Aqueduct Trail in the main opening of Launch Pad there is another large rock that allows you to do the same.
