Wide, steep face down into Mundy's
Freeride Skiing Difficult
The Drain is a steeper face that is broken up by small trees islands. It hardly ever gets sun baked because of its aspect and holds great snow for weeks after a storm. It gets wind buffed regularly and can be a real treat when the rest of the mountain is skied out. It is very straightforward, and you can see it all from the top of the Schlasman's chair. Hike out South and ski Bathtub or Bitter Sweet, then turn left. You can also traverse all the way South across Mundy's to get the bottom half of The Drain.
Difficult
Serious gradient of 30-38 degrees where a real risk of slipping exists.
