1st Pinnacle (alternate) Map

The tight, steep, south facing section of the First Pinnacle can be avoided by taking a left at the crux, onto a prow. This exit is sometimes easier to maneuver. Ski South of Saddle Peak, past Argentina Bowl to the next high point. Ski down the open snowfield for 500ft, trending right. You'll see the crux down to your right. Head left and onto a prow, from here you can see the rest of your line. Fall line takes you through a couple more cruxes that usually aren't too bad, or head more left through trees for a way that always goes. You can't make the Saddle traverse without skinning from here, so you may as well keep going down through the powdery meadow. Skin back up to the Saddle traverse and back to Bridger Bowl.
