1st Pinnacle Map

The First Pinnacle is a great line that fills in mid season usually. It has 3 parts, the upper snowfield is about 500 feet long, and 35 degrees. The second and main section is a 600 feet south facing chute that is about 37 degrees and about 10 feet wide for a while with tall walls on either side. The last section is about 700 feet of a wide open apron/gully that is low angle and really great skiing. Head south of Saddle, past Argentina Bowl to the next high point. You'll be on top of a snowfield that seems to end in cliffs and rock walls. Ski down, trending to the skier's right side. As you get closer, you will see the way in. Sometimes this upper crux requires a little jump, other times you can ski easily through it. Make it in, then you will have great south facing turns ending in a mellow apron. Put skins on and hike north to the meadow under Argentina Bowl. Skin up the right side of the meadow to the Argentina traverse and back to Bridger Bowl.
