Klondike Bluffs: Agate and Jasper Loops Map

While Moab is renowned for its highly-technical mountain bike trails, there are still some easy, flowy beginner trails to be found as well. In fact, the 5-mile-long set of loops shown here follows some of the absolute easiest singletrack you'll find in the Moab region!

Description

The route shown here connects the Agate Trails to the Jasper Trails and Chilkoot Pass to create three small loops connected by a common thread. For a shorter ride, you can just pedal one or two of the loops, and for a longer ride, you could add an out-and-back on the Jurassic trail.

You won't find any substantial rocks on these flowy beginner trails. Instead, the trail tread consists primarily of hardpacked clay and a bit of sand. The hardpacked clay surface makes for a smooth, fast-rolling trail tread, allowing you to swoop and flow through these easy miles.

That said, if there's been even a hint of moisture, definitely avoid these trails until they've dried out completely! The clay will get wet and treacherous and can wreak havoc on your bike's components.

If you're looking for a great place to introduce a beginner rider to mountain biking in Moab, this is the perfect spot!
