This is a popular trail running route which is generally considered to be severe. It's remote, it features high exposure and is typically done between March and October. From a low point of 1.4 km to the maximum altitude of 2.4 km, the route covers 26 km, 1163 vertical metres of ascent and 1164 vertical metres of descent.

Description

This is the course for the Wahsatch Steeplechase, a difficult trail race held in Salt Lake City every year in June. There is a sharp ridge at the summit of Black Mountain that requires a scramble move or two. It's not hard, but to some beginners, it feels scary.
