Freeride Skiing Difficult
A broad open face that often holds deep snow, Lower Kookie is a challenging black diamond. Access it by traversing Grubstake, snaking through the trees and continuing along the ridge past Rinky Dink and Sure Shot. Look for Lower Kookie once the ridge flattens out. Trees and some rocks make the entrance on skier's left tricky. Work right for an easier entrance that often gets tracked out more quickly.
