A steep rocky face directly under the Northway Chair
Freeride Skiing Extreme
This steep rocky face lies just below Tower 16 of Northway Chair. Prior to the construction of the lift, this face was rarely skied and never named. A few trees have been removed to make for easier navigation of the hazards, but most likely its the chair itself that attracts people to this run. The run consists of a series of jumps. The first mandatory air starts right at the top. The slope is steeper on the skiers left, but the midway ledge is a little wider here. Watch for trees below this ledge. The line is most straightforward starting right to left. Check your line on the ride up the lift. The apron below is wide and the angle mellows quickly. Hit Northway run to the bottom and grab the chair for another lap.
