Description

Bormio is an excellent spot for trail running enthusiasts. It’s beautiful, at high altitude, and there are hundreds of trails laced around the mountains that surround this small medieval town.

It's famous for its attractive architecture and Roman thermal baths, hosting the Alpine Ski World Championships, and, of course, its extraordinary nature. Bormio is in Stelvio National Park, a 134,620-hectare expanse of 3000-metre peaks, glacial lakes, waterfalls, woodlands, and more. There are also over 600km of trails of varying lengths and intensity, many of which are suited to all three major mountain sports: mountain biking, hiking, and trail running.

We’ve cherry-picked Bormio’s routes that are most suited to trail running. Head up the Bormio 3000 for scrambly loose rocks and dry, barren vistas. If you want intense climbs coupled with lush forests, then try the Pravasivo – Cross Reit – Bormio adventure.
