Description

Trekkers flock from around the World to hike in the famous Toubkal region of Morocco and with good reason. As well as beautiful mountains and a relatively reliable climate, the local Berber culture is fascinating and experiencing it only adds to the experience of hiking in these peaks.

Upon arriving in Imlil - the base camp for this trip - most trekkers head directly up to the Toubkal refuges and then on to Toubkal mountain itself before returning straight to Imlil. This is an excellent and highly recommended adventure but following this route, which is much longer and more remote, will take you into quieter and wilder parts of the Atlas range.

If you get a bit of luck with the weather, this trip will take over a pass and onto two 4000 metre summits via a serene Berber village and 2 very different but equally charming mountain refuges.
