A short off piste line which provides some nice skiing but is mainly used as a way to access the Götzens ski area.
Freeride Skiing Easy
From the top of the Birgitzköpfl chairlift, ski east down a gentle slope for 100 metres then curve left and follow the wide opening between 2 sections of small trees. This used to be a piste so it is very clear. It can be fun just to ski right down the middle of the opening but it's usually better to head right and ski between small trees. Either skiing the trees or staying in the opening leads you rightwards onto a jeep track. Turn right and follow this (you might need to pole as it is pretty flat) to join the Götzens pistes, right under the cables of the Nockspitzbahn lift. There is a bus between the foot of the Nockspitzbahn (on the outskirts of Götzens village) and Axamer Lizum so if you're staying in Götzens it's nice to get the bus to Axamer Lizum in the morning and then ski this run home at the end of the day.
