Another day, another fine summit! In the event of bad weather you can miss the summit out by simply passing through the col below the top and descend direct to the hut. But given the opportunity the summit of the Fluchtkogel at 3500m is well worth a visit. From the Hospice skin diagonally up to the NW, steeply as you traverse under cliffs, then more gently as you get onto the glacier above. The angle then becomes much easier as you slowly skin towards a final steepening towards the summit itself.
