When Pigs Fly Shuttle Map

When Pigs Fly is one of Boer Mountain's signature downhills. This intermediate jump trail was constructed by the renowned Gravity Logic crew from the Whistler Bike Park, so you know that the flow and design of this trail are absolutely on point!

Description

All of the trails off the top of Boer Mountain can either be looped or shuttled, but the route shown here is a shuttle lap down When Pigs Fly. The start of the trail is on the right side of the road a couple of switchbacks below the summit of the mountain.

When you drop into this trail, you'll find beautifully-sculpted tabletop jumps that run down the mountain in an endless chain. In between, the massive berms help keep the speed high and the flow dialed. These tabletops are eminently intermediate-friendly. The lips aren't too steep, and the tables aren't too long, allowing those newer to jumping to gain confidence on these forgiving hits.

At the time of this writing in 2022, the age of this trail is beginning to show. What was once a perfectly manicured jump trail now has a multitude of small rocks protruding from the trail tread. None of these rocks create any real technical challenge, but they do make the trail feel rough and rattly at high speed.

The lower section of the route shown here drops into The Runt trail to return all the way to the lower trailhead. However, if you're pedaling loops, you could choose to connect to the dirt road at this point and head back up the mountain for another lap!
