Chevalier Couloir is uber steep, and should only be attempted in the best snow conditions.
Freeride Skiing Extreme
The Chevalier couloir can be accessed with a short tour from the top of the Grand Montets lift. Crampons, ice axes, and rope are crucial. The entry is very steep and requires extreme caution. Following this depends on the snow conditions. When the snow is good, it is a steep but fun couloir to ride, and it opens up at the bottom. You can continue to traverse left at the bottom of the run and return to the Grand Montets lift.
