Freeride Skiing Difficult
When the Veret draglift is closed it is possible to hike to the top of this lift to ski the Combe de Veret run via a 20 – 30 minute hike.
To do this you need to ski from the top of Grands Vans / Vernant lifts towards Flaine – keeping as far left as you can and then come off the piste and start hiking up the ridge – more often than not this is a cat track. It’s about a 20 – 30 minute hike to the top.
Make sure the run is safe – sometimes the drag is closed due to lack of people other times it is closed due to avalanche risk.
Difficult
Serious gradient of 30-38 degrees where a real risk of slipping exists.
