This is a popular ski touring route which is generally considered to be moderate. It's remote, it features low exposure (e1) and is typically done between January and April. From a low point of 1.9 km to the maximum altitude of 2.8 km, the route covers 4.9 km, 962 vertical metres of ascent and 10 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 1.3 and Labande grade 2. You'll need skins to complete it safely.

Description

Easy tour in starting from Fontcouverte to the pointe du demi. Beautiful landscape in Vallée de la Clarée. The Chardonnet hut is a wonderful stop on the way down.
