This out and back itinerary is a big day out covering some impressive alpine terrain. The Col is nearly 3000m above sea level and the last part to the col is close to unrideable. The rest of the ride however has sections of excellent fast flow and technical parts that require good line choice to stay out of deep ruts. The Bonatti Refuge is a great place to stop for some food or liquid and there is plenty of water filling options on the first half of the ride up. The overall ride has a good mixture of steep pedaling, pushing and hike a bike to get to the col. Not possible to pedal the whole way on an Ebike, carrying would be required.
