The route is technical with a steep ascent and descent section. The majority of the trail takes you through beautiful woodland, before ascending to a stretch of open pastureland. You begin and end at the Tea del Plan refuge and you also pass the Costaccia refuge just before the finish, so there are a couple of opportunities for a refuel and breather.
