Starting from the high and wild Passo Pordoï, this is a fittingly epic challenge and is the most difficult part of the whole clockwise Sella Ronda. The riding is a challenging throughout, with some very steep and technical sections, plenty of optional airs and some bumpy, burly bits too.

Description

Leave the Vauz Pordoï (Fodom) gondola behind, ride over the Passo Pordoï itself and get onto the clearly signposted start of the trail. Once on it there are many optional detours, the most popular of which is Animal House. You can't really miss the start of Animal House as it begins at the bottom of a really fun wooden ramp, which catapults you into the start of the line with plenty of speed.

Beyond Animal House and Infinity Trail, there are some other excellent lines to check out, so if you're staying in Canazei and have some spare time, buying a day pass for the lift system and riding some of the local classics like Zacan and Double U is highly recommended. There's plenty to keep you busy for a riding day in Canazei, so it's a logical place from which to base yourself for a weekend.

If you're not based in Canazei and are continuing with the Sella Ronda, ride through the town and then along the road for a few kilometres to reach the Campitell-Col Rodella cable car. This runs roughly once every 15 minutes so there is the potential for a short wait before you get on the lift. Luckily there's a cafe nearby so a having a bit of time to kill is no hardship!
