This route is similar in style to the nearby red runs, just steeper and harder! Expect technical trail riding, with steep drops, root-y sections and some bumpy terrain as well. That's challenge enough, but the proximity of the chairlift and the audience it provides you with only adds to the stress! Depending on your character and confidence you'll either relish or resent the spectators watching you from the comfort of the chairlift...

Description

Overall the riding on this trail is relatively low angled, but it's punctuated with a series of really steep sections which require a cool head and plenty of confidence. There are also some sizeable airs, most of which are optional but superb for those with the requisite skills. As with so may of the Sauze d'Oulx bike park routes, this one gets better with each lap as you begin to learn the various features of the line.

Around 1/3 of the way down the line is an amazing wooden berm which you may well have spotted from the chairlift on the way up the mountain. The berm is as fun as it looks, and as you learn this route you'll be able to get faster and faster on this super cool feature.

Eventually this line merges with Tippy's Witch, so after a tough ride you at least get an easier finish on the final section down to the foot of the chairlift. There are some other tough trails at Sauze d'Oulx - such as Black Karamel - so go and check one of them out or take another lap down here.
