Capanna Margherita, Punta Gnifetti Map

Capanna Margherita is the highest refuge in Europe, it is built at 4554m and it's a destination that lots of people want to reach to gaze at the amazing mountains that surrounds this place.

Description

It's also a good destination for a "one day" ski trip and to enjoy really good snow even in summer. From Indren to Capanna Margherita it's 1300m circa of vertical drop that you can ski without too much trouble and without any steep or exposed area. It's a really nice ski tour! The last few meters to reach the refuge requires walking a bit with crampons

Although this seems easy be aware that you're on a glacier! Crevasses could be open and you need to cross some. So technical skills and equipment are required!
