Piramide Vincent, Parete SW, Canale Sinistro Map

An inspiring line that can be seen from Rifugio Gnifetti. It's a narrow and steep couloir that starts from 4215m and drops right above Gressoney Valley. In order to reach this line you have to climb up from Indren, pointing the refuges, then up towards Colle del Lys. Although this seems an easy part that can be done with skins be aware that you're on a glacier! Crevasses could be open and you need to cross some. So technical skills are required!

Description

Once you reach The north face of Piramide Vincent a last short steep part (crampons could be required) will take you to the summit. This way you will ski "en boucle". Climbing up the SW face is physically and technically more challenging but it will give you knowledge of the terrain. 4 - 4h 30 minutes total.

Technical gear required! Ice axe, crampons, rope (40m), harness, ice screws, showed, probe and beacon!
