This mountain hosted the national championship in downhill in 1940. This course is the most popular descend of the mountain!

Description

Start from the parking lot in Skorgedalen. Head to the N-V corner of the parking lot and follow tracks through an area with cabins. Head up the forest on the south side of point 588 m.a.s.l.

Well above the tree line you can either follow the south ridge to the summit or enter Skarvebotnen and reach the summit by its south face.

On the summit you will have a great view over the ocean to the north, and the characteristic mountains of Romsdalen to the south.

The most popular descend is down the south face.
