A fantastic technical ride which packs a lot into its relatively short distance, this is one for experienced riders.

Ullswater Singletrack Loop Map

From the car park in Patterdale, a quick road pedal takes you to Bridgend and a wide track rising steeply uphill to Boredale Hause. Kudos to anyone who rides all the way up this! The trail becomes vague for a while here as it crosses a plateau before becoming good singletrack and a fast, swoopy descent, with a few tricky steep drops down to Martindale. Quiet lanes lead around to Sandwick and the start of some great highly technical and challenging riding which undulates, at times steeply, around the Lakeshore back to Patterdale.

Difficulty

Severe

Widely variable, narrow trail tread with steeper grades and unavoidable obstacles of 15in/38cm tall or less. Obstacles may include unavoidable bridges 24in/61cm wide or less, large rocks, gravel, difficult root sections, and more. Ideal for advanced-level riders.
