This is a popular freeride skiing route which is generally considered to be difficult. It's extremely remote, it features medium exposure (e2) and is typically done between January and March. From a low point of 2.5 km to the maximum altitude of 2.9 km, the route covers 2.1 km, 27 vertical metres of ascent and 410 vertical metres of descent. It's graded 3.3 and Labande grade 4. You'll need skins to complete it safely.

Description

A couloir on the backside of Deadwood peak. Pretty wide open and not too difficult, but gives the advanced-expert skier a great backcountry opportunity. Slightly less steep and wider than the neighboring "Y" Couloir. One of the most enjoyable lines on the mountain!
