Phoenix Chutes Map

The Phoenix Chutes are a set of steep tree chutes along the far east side of Phoenix Bowl. There are two main chutes that tend to ski great days after a storm because of their aspect and the fact that a lot of skiers don't get in there. There are a few rock/pillow sections along the skier's left side of Phoenix Chutes. Be wary as the trees can be thick, and the skiing is steep. However, if you can navigate your way through, the skiing is great. Access to the Phoenix Chutes begins at a gate on the far right side of the Phoenix Bowl and around some rocks, or you can and stay right in Phoenix Bowl along the skier's right rocks and you'll see one of the Phoenix Chutes through the trees below you. The skier's right chute is a little steeper along the rope line and both chutes meet in the trees below. The Phoenix Chutes end when you are dumped onto the Third Bowl / Phoenix Exit cat road.
