The Ballroom Map

At the start of the Ballroom, you will see a wide open face that has a very mellow pitch that runs into steep trees. Snow tends to load up in the upper section, and is typically very soft and fun, but can also be very wind packed. There are several chutes that run out into the upper Lehman Valley that will vary in pitch and tree density. Toward the bottom as it becomes flat, beware of a small creek that will be on the skier's left side of the valley. Staying high and right will help you avoid the river and find some more good snow before running out into Upper Lehman. Be aware that roped closures are present due to flat run outs and creek beds, and are very much a hazard until mid to late February. Keep in mind this area is NOT controlled, it is out of bounds.
