The Fish Creek area is a legendary side country canyon parallel to Steamboat Resort. It's home to some of the most accessible extreme terrain in all of Colorado! Zone 4 is another easier Zone in the Canyon but it should definitely not be overlooked as it has a really cool choke section. Traverse skiers' left of the Zone 3 ridge and you'll enter a whole new part of the canyon. You'll know you're in the right place when you have to navigate through a chute that consists two huge boulders (this is known as The Slot). The pitch is relatively similar to Zone 3 but everything is a little more technical. You must make sure to traverse skiers' towards Zone 3 as soon as possible since there's a huge unskiable cliff at the bottom of the run. This traverse will be a bit painful to do, but it's definitely safer than trying to rappel down the cliff. This traverse also goes over 2 really large cliffs but eventually, you'll end up in the lower half of Zone 3 where you can go to the bottom and skin back up to do it all over again!
