These avalanche prone chutes are fairly self explanatory off of the Professor Hike. They offer nice steep skiing, but since they are E facing, they can load with a lot of snow. Please be aware of avalanche danger when skiing these chutes. Enjoy nice steep turns while looking out for exposed rocks to the bottom. Once you reach the bottom, you will be at a frozen flat lake. You have several options here. You can follow the route marked to hitch hike back up the pass. This route will require a skin, but it will give you the best location to get picked up from Loveland Pass. You can also skin back up the start point if you would like to explore. Either way is good for getting back to the top of Loveland Pass.
