Ski Touring Severe
Similar to the southeast face, this isolated zone has more potential to slide at the top but also comes with a larger drop in area with less consequences further down the ridgeline. The lines to the skier's right include a number of cliffs and exposed rock features that pose an extreme hazard in the event of a slide. Dropping in further to the skier's left is still steep but with much less exposure. Upon entering tree line push towards skier's left and follow the terrain down to the Herman Gulch at exit 218. There is a bridge to cross the creek.
Severe
Steep skiing at 38-45 degrees. This requires very good technique and the risk of falling has serious consequences.
