Ski Touring Difficult
The Professor starts with a steep open face that spits into an avalanche chute. The entire Arapahoe Basin Ski Area will be able to see the turns you leave behind. At the very top there is usually a sizable cornice that must be carefully navigated around. Once skier has dropped in, the pitch is consistent down to where the snow meets the tree line. Most users will exit skiers left to meet up with the hairpin turn that the pass road makes, but during great seasons it may be possible to continue all the way to the highway at the bottom.
