Hidden Gully Map

Hidden is a true gem of Bridger Bowl. It is a benchmark for many skier's. It is one of the longest fall line runs at Bridger. Tons of people ski Hidden and patrol controls it regularly, so you probably won't find freshies in here. Due to the aspect however, there is always consistent chalk down Hidden. Some days it can be wind buffed beautifully. Hike North from the Bridger hike past the bomb box at the top. Look down and to the North, this is Hidden. Most people will be intimidated. Settle your nerves and drop in. There is a very steep upper micro bowl above the crux. This is the steepest part of the line, and once you're in, it won't be so bad. The crux is about 10ft wide through tall rock walls. Due to high traffic and people side slipping the top, there will usually be a trough hacked out of the snow making the actual width around 185cm. Do your best to make it through in good style, not side slipping. There is an alternative entrance to Hidden just down and right of the true top. This is wider, but can be way rockier than the proper entrance. The two entrances come together quickly and you'll have moderately steep turns for 150ft before the line kicks right and the Outer Limits traverse goes left. Keep skiing and you'll be able to see down the fall line for almost 1000ft. Hidden will open up gradually before crossing the Skier's Traverse and turning into The Apron. As you ski down the middle of Hidden, take time to notice the gnarly lines to your right, these are The Virtues.
