Chute 1 Map

Chute 1 at the top is the most technical of the Chutes. It will usually have a few rocks peppered throughout the upper open section, then remains rocky as it narrows down through a quick rock chute. This zone may not have an easy way through all season. Once you do get through the upper sections, you'll cross the Skier's Traverse down into a wide alley between tree glades. There are a few really good options for air in this gut, as well as nice mellow open turns. Chute 1 skis down into Steamroller, or you can go slightly right to get into the Dick's area. Chute 1 doesn't get hit by the sun too badly, with the exception of the zone just off the ridge. Its a great fall line run on any pow day.
